Museums

History lives here in BruceGreySimcoe with "living" historic sites like Sainte-Marie among the Hurons, Discovery Harbour and at the Grey Roots Museum's Moreston Heritage Village. On-site historical interpreters in period dress pull visitors back in time through storytelling, hands-on activities, events and programs. (Note that these and others are open seasonally, so check ahead for hours)

Three regional museums keep the history of the region intact and relevant with hands-on exhibits, programming and exhibits. Roots run deep here, starting with Indigenous people who lived here before European settlers arrived and tracking through to the present time. All three have archival collections of historical papers, documents and photographs.

Smaller museums can be found in towns and villages region, most of them open seasonally.
