Mountain Biking

BruceGreySimcoe - always a thrilling ride!  Until the snow flies, experience the rush of downhill riding at Blue Mountain (closed for 2020 season) to the gnarly single track rides for the experienced rider, to cruising the easier trails of the region’s conservation areas and provincial parks, this is mountain biking heaven!  Emily Batty, Canadian Olympian, thinks so too and shares her riding experience “at home” in BruceGreySimcoe in this video.

With the tagline, “Where Locals Ride”, you know the biking is good.  And Bruce County delivers with 12,500 acres of awesome cycling wilderness. Breathtaking scenery is your backdrop as you splash through rivers, over roots and around rock.  And, best of all – access to the trails is free.  Climb on your bike, slap on your helmet and safety gear and you’re ready to roll.

Cycle Simcoe has more riding options, as does Ontario By Bike, which also has listings of bike-friendly shops, restaurants and accommodations in Bruce County-SouthwestSimcoe and Grey counties.

Snow-covered trails don't mean an end to your cycling adventures! Give fat bking a try - rentals are available at various locales throughout the region. Or, once you try it, purchase your own!

Before heading out on the trails, be sure you’re wearing proper safety gear, including a helmet.
