In Seraphine, Seraphine, Vancouver-based artist Krista Belle Stewart layers archival footage with current footage of her subject, her mother Seraphine Stewart, the first Indigenous Public Health nurse in British Columbia. In this two-channel video work, Stewart sheds light on the complexities of the historical representation of Indigenous peoples.  Seraphine, Seraphine highlights the profound divergences between history as it is recorded and reality as it is lived. Followed by a talk and discussion. Two-Channel Video Work, 39 Minutes, 2014
