Skill Levels/Families

Golf has risen in popularity over the last few years, so plan ahead and book tee times, carts, rentals and accommodation before heading to the course.

Beginner Golf

New golfer?  You’ll feel right at home in BruceGreySimcoe with plenty of small courses, just right for beginners.  It’s easy to get started too, with lessons, beginners’ nights and equipment rentals.   Amenities vary from course to course, but generally you’ll find practice facilities, driving ranges plus chipping and putting greens to help develop those new skills.  Feeling social?  Discuss the finer points of the game at the “19th hole” and take part in the special events held during the season.

Kids & Families

It’s a family affair!  Get the family out on the course for some bonding time and introduce the kids to a new skill.  Many courses offer family packages and memberships, plus golf lessons and day camps for juniors and children.  Young golfers can compete in tournaments or take part in a parent-child tournament with Mom or Dad.  At many clubs, kids start off with junior tees and, as their skills improve, move up to the adult ones.  And, the social side of golf is always a bonus with friendships made on the course often lasting a lifetime.  Twilight golfwhen courses are less busy, is also a great way for kids and families to enjoy the sport together.
