MacGregor Point Provincial Park

More than 200 species of birds have been sighted here, including the black-crowned night heron and the American egret which find the wetlands in the park to be ideal feeding grounds. The shoreline is a recognized spring and fall migration route. MacGregor Point is either the northern or southern nesting limit for a number of northern and southern species. To book a campsite please call our central reservations line at 1-888-668-7275. Each spring naturalists' celebrate the return of songbirds during the Huron Fringe Birding Festival. This festival has been developed to coincide with the arrival and the setting up of territories by these migrating birds. The park is really a 4 season destination, with great outdoor activities for winter as well, cross country skiing, snowshoeing, winter camping in a YURT, and you can go skating on an outdoor 400 m loop that is lit at night.
