Thornbury Dam and Fish Ladder

Thornbury Dam and Fish Ladder - The dam is a local landmark used primarily to control the flow of water to the river mouth area. In 2003 a fish ladder was installed. Rainbow trout (in spring) and Chinook Salmon (in autumn) make their way over the dam by jumping from one level to the next. The ladder begins just below the dam on the Hwy 26 bridge.
