Words Aloud occurs over two weeks in late October and early November. and includes main stage events at the Durham Art Gallery in Durham (Nov 2-4), a children's program at Victoria Jubilee Hall in Walkerton (this year The Elves, a Shoemaker and His Wife, Oct 28), a public slam event at Great Books & Cafe in Williamsford (Nov 3), and IFOA's Lit on Tour event at The Library in Owen Sound (Oct 25). Writing workshops are also offered throughout the main stage weekend. Now in its 9th year, Words Aloud is one of Grey County's premier literary events, and is known across Canada for the excellence of its performers.
