Did you know you can snowshoe across a 420-foot suspension bridge with amazing views of Georgian Bay? Thanks to Scenic Caves Nature Adventures, you can add this epic adventure to your winter bucket list. On a clear day, you can see for 10,000 square kilometres—all the way across Georgian Bay. Lace up your skates and hit an outdoor skating rink or trail
Outdoor fun is where it’s at this winter and BruceGreySimcoe is lucky to have some great outdoor skating rinks and trails. Ice is a finicky thing and is definitely weather dependant so be sure to call ahead and make sure the ice is good to go. Owen Sound’s Harrison Park has the
Good Cheer outdoor rink which relies on the H.O.S.E schedule of hockey on odd days, skating on even. South Georgian Bay Tourism gives a good round up of outdoor skating options around Collingwood
right here. Blue Mountain’s Woodview Mountaintop Skating trail is a stunning experience complete with lights during nighttime hours.

slopeside skating and Fern Resort has a
1.5 kilometre skating trail on the property.
Hire a local guide and enjoy an outdoor winter experience
Getting outdoors is great for your mental and physical health! BruceGreySimcoe is home to some amazing guides who can help lead you on an some exciting winter experiences. Free Spirit Tours offers several great winter outings from their Apple Pie Trail Snowshoeing Tour that includes a stop at local winery Georgian Hills to their Shoe and Brew Tour that pairs snowshoes with craft beer at Sidelaunch Brewing Company and/or The Collingwood Brewery.
Blue Mountain & Collingwood Adventure Tours offers an Orchard Trek and Tasting that pairs snowshoeing in a local orchard with a visit to a local cidery. Their Snowshoe, Waterfalls and Wine Tour includes a snowshoe trek to a waterfall and stops at The Ravenna Country Market, a local winery and a local cidery.
Eco Adventures offers outings on the Bruce Peninsula with all proceeds going to the Bruce Peninsula Biosphere Association. Their Snowshoe the Grotto tour and Ski Lion’s Head tour both offer truly unique experiences with knowledgeable guides in stunning landscapes.

Après has gone outdoors
During last year's restrictions many local restaurants, breweries, cideries and wineries added heaters and campfires to allow for some après ski activities in the great outdoors. They quickly learned that folks love these outdoor spaces for apres after their winter adventures! Check out

Blue Mountain Village Holiday Magic

By day the Village sparkles with festive décor, holiday music and fires to warm by. Evenings, starting at dusk, follow the one kilometer Holiday Light Trail through the Village to discover enchanting and interactive light displays. On weekends, enjoy live holiday music, street performers, warming stations and a horse drawn carriage with Santa roaming the Village. Saturday evenings end with fireworks over the Mill Pond from November 19th until December 24th.
