Maple Syrup Festivals

After those long and frosty winter months, it’s time to celebrate!  Head to the sugar bush to breathe in that oh-so-sweet scent of bubbling maple sap. Start a new “hello spring” family tradition at a maple syrup festival - roll soft and sticky maple syrup in the snow on a stick to create a delicious maple lollipop.

BruceGreySimcoe’s maple syrup festivals start in late March and run right through till the end of April.  Orillia & Lake Country annually showcases everything maple with Tap in to Maple, a collection of fun events, tours and food.  Take it outside with hot pancakes drizzled with maple syrup (and sausage on the side, of course!).  Wear off a few of those breakfast calories with a sugar shack tour, a hike in the woods, a horse drawn wagon wide or at an open fire, roasting bannock on a stick.  Keep those sweet sugar bush memories alive by purchasing your own bottle of “liquid gold” to pack up and take home at the end of your maple adventure.
