From July 31st until August 2nd 2015, Penetanguishene will host Rendez-Vous Champlain. This bilingual event will commemorate 400 years since the arrival of French explorer Samuel de Champlain in Huronia and 400 years of Francophone presence in Ontario. Highlights of the weekend include the Procession of 400 Years, the Feast of Three Sisters Gala, musical performances by Damien Robitaille, Andee and Roch Voisine, historical re-enactments, aboriginal craft vendors, an authentic food market and more.
