Join singer-songwriter David Newland for an evening exploring the mythical Northwest Passage through the Canadian Arctic.  For his opening set, David will present images, stories and video from his travels as a musician and Zodiac driver with Adventure Canada.  This will be followed by a concert of original, Arctic-themed music accompanied by Saskia Tomkins, Steafan Hannigan, Sam Allison, Oisin Hannigan, and special musical guests!
 
David Newland is best known in Owen Sound as the main stage MC of Summerfolk. He is a writer, musician and host with a passion for the Canadian experience. In November of 2015, David was named a Fellow of the Royal Canadian Geographical Society, a distinction that reflects a lifelong engagement with landscape and story.
