Attractions

Some messages just bear repeating and the travel mantra for the summer of 2021 is one of them, plan ahead, book ahead. Over the past year, our attractions have worked hard to adapt how they operate with the health and safety of all, including their staff, in mind. What does this mean to customers and guests?

  • Admissions may be limited to a certain number of people on the premises at one time
  • Tickets and time slots may need to be purchased and reserved before arrival (highly recommended)
  • In some cases, your visit may have a time limit
  • Disinfection of equipment, if applicable, between each use
  • Guests are required to wear masks and to use hand sanitizer
  • Contact information may be required when visiting an attraction in case of an outbreak
  • There may be line-ups and increased wait times
  • Staff will be smiling under their masks

BruceGreySimcoe’s natural attractions are, understandably, attracting new and returning visitors to explore, hike, paddle and discover the region’s beauty. For the ever-popular Grotto, parking reservations are required before arriving at the park. If your planned destination is Cyprus Lake for the day or the Halfway Log Dump shoreline (new in 2021), avoid missing out and reserve your parking slot ahead of time here, too.  The Bruce Trail is another of the region’s well-loved attractions, so well-loved that the Bruce Trail Conservancy has put together a list for “Hiking Responsibly & Safely in the time of COVID-19”. As visitation is highest on weekends, you may want to consider hiking mid-week. You may also want to consider becoming a trail member or making a donation to help maintain and preserve this wonderful treasure.

If you haven’t yet been to these attractions for your nature fix, check out Scenic Caves Nature Adventures, the Wye Marsh Wildlife CentreScales Nature Park and forest bathing at Wild By Nature Forest Sanctuary (requires advance booking). Call ahead for up-to-date operating hours and protocols.

Take a moment to review the Visitor Manifesto before visiting BruceGreySimcoe’s natural wonders.
