Markdale Fall Fair: Entries accepted Thursday evening and Friday until noon. Fair opens Friday evening with ambassador competition and baking auction. 4H calf and heavy horse shows Saturday. Light horse show and heavy horse pull Sunday. Blacksmith, wool dying, quilting, spinning, bobbin lace-making demonstrations all weekend. Live music in the afternoon Saturday and Sunday. Idol competition Sunday evening. Free bike draw for children. Quilt draw and silent auction and lots of exhibits and vendors.
