Take a few moments to plan ahead and book ahead before visiting the beaches of BruceGreySimcoe. If you're able to travel mid-week, visit the beaches during the week or in the late spring and early fall when it's a bit quieter. Even better, book a stay at a local accommodation and spend several days at the beach and exploring the surrounding area.
No need to travel far to discover that just-the-right beach destination during Ontario’s warm season. The beautiful beaches of BruceGreySimcoe are an easy drive away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life, with the stunning aquamarine colours of Georgian Bay equal to those of the Caribbean (heads up that the water is much colder, though!). Pop up your beach umbrella and stake it in one of our sandy beaches, clamber over rocky shorelines, skip some stones and savour the warm beachy air on your skin.
Amenities at public beaches range from “full facilities” with washrooms, snack bars, playgrounds, restaurants and shoreline activities to sand, water and sky as the main attractions. If your idea of heaven is camping and beaching it, many of our campgrounds fit the bill. You can find beaches at many of our resorts, cottages, hotels, motels, bed and breakfasts and inns, too. Make the most of your beach vacation and plan to stay awhile.
For those with accessibility issues, Wasaga Beach, Kincardine, Port Elgin and Southampton have made beach going easier.
