Maple Syrup Festivals

OAfter those long and frosty winter months, it’s time to celebrate!  Head to the sugar bush to breathe in that oh-so-sweet scent of bubbling maple sap. Start a new “hello spring” family tradition at a maple syrup festival - roll soft and sticky maple syrup in the snow on a stick to create a delicious maple lollipop.
BruceGreySimcoe’s maple syrup festivals start in late March and run right through till the end of April.  Ontario’s Lake Country annually showcases everything maple with Tap in to Maple, a collection of fun events, tours and food.  Take it outside with hot pancakes drizzled with maple syrup (and sausage on the side, of course!).  Wear off a few of those breakfast calories with a sugar shack tour, a hike in the woods, a horse drawn wagon wide or at an open fire, roasting bannock on a stick.  Keep those sweet sugar bush memories alive by purchasing your own bottle of “liquid gold” to pack up and take home at the end of your maple adventure.
