It’s been far too long since we’ve had a summer full of festivals to celebrate! But the time has finally come for friends and family to gather at the best cultural and music festivals BruceGreySimcoe has to offer. Heritage and Cultural Festivals

Theatre Collingwood Porchside Festival
Various dates July 2022
Collingwood, Ontario

This unique festival brings 25 talented artists to 13 amazing porches around Collingwood for a total of 39 live performances. Bring your lawn chair and experience each performance in its own intimate setting. See the full lineup right here.

The Sound Waterfront Festival
Owen Sound, Ontario
June 30 to July 3

This four-day waterfront festival will feature arts and culture, Indigenous music and crafts, Canada Day fireworks, musicians, food trucks, children’s activities, and Corkscrew City Spirit Tours. The festival is a tribute to Canadian Music, black history, truth and reconciliation and much more. Visit the website.

Kincardine’s Sunset Piper and Pipe Band Parade
Kincardine, Ontario
Every Saturday in July and August beginning at 8 p.m.

This Kincardine tradition is back! Head to downtown Kincardine and join the pipe band parade culminating with the performance of the sunset piper each Saturday night beginning at 8 p.m.
Alongside this family favourite, Kincardine is also hosting a Scottish Festival July 1 to 3, the Bruce Telecom Lighthouse Blues Festival from July 8 to 10, the Chantry Chinook Fishing Derby from July 23 to August 7 and the Gathering of the Bands and Tall Ships in the harbour on August 27 and the Fall Fair on Labour Day weekend. Marine Heritage Festival / Chantry Island Tours
Saugeen Shores, Ontario
July 22 to July 24

The Marine Heritage Festival returns for it’s 10th year on the shores of Lake Huron. Take a tour to Chantry Island and enjoy a full weekend of family fun. Stay tuned to the Marine Heritage Festival Events list.  Tours to Chantry Island are available all summer and must be booked in advance. 

Music Festivals


Mariposa Folk Festival
Orillia, Ontario
July 8 to July 10

The biggest folk festival on Lake Simcoe, Mariposa is back with a big lineup for 2022. From Blue Rodeo to Alysha Brilla, The Strumbellas and Blackie and the Rodeo Kings, you’ll enjoy live music in a beautiful setting with the folk festival atmosphere you’ve missed. Music at the Market
Owen Sound Farmers' Market
Thursday and Fridays from July 7 to August 26th

Bring your blanket, a buddy and buy your lunch downtown for Music at the Market. Every Thursday and Friday from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m, head to the Owen Sound Farmers' Market for a live musical performance and an extended lunch break. Get the full artist lineup.

TD Harbour Nights
Owen Sound, Ontario
Sunday at 7 p.m. from June 5 to August 21

Another amazing opportunity to see live music in Owen Sound free of charge. TD Harbour Nights runs Sundays at 7 p.m. from June 5 to August 21 at the Owen Sound Visitor Centre (or the Owen Sound Legion in the event of rain). Bring your lawn chair or a blanket and enjoy their complete musical lineup.

Paisley Blues Festival
Paisley, Ontario
July 23

This admission-by-donation blue festival features a great lineup of local artists from The MacKenzie Blues Band to Coco Love Alcorn and Samantha Martin and Delta Sugar. Running from 11 a.m. with the last act taking the stage at 5 p.m, head to Paisley Rotary Park to enjoy. Get all the details.

July 29 to August 1

On their third attempt at celebrating their 50th year, Kempenfest organizers are hoping this big celebration is the one! Featuring arts, crafts, antiques, and live music on the shores of Kempenfelt Bay, this downtown Barrie favourite is a family favourite. Boots and Hearts
Burl’s Creek, Ontario
August 4 to August 7

Dust off your cowboy boots and head to Burl’s Creek for Boots and Hearts. From August 4 to August 7 you can catch Sam Hunt, Florida Georgia Line and Shania Twain at this amazing outdoor festival. Pick up your tickets

Summerfolk Music and Crafts Festival
Kelso Beach Park, Owen Sound
August 19 to August 21

In their 47th year, Summerfolk offers an amazing folk festival lineup at the beautiful Kelso Beach amphitheatre on the shores of Georgian Bay accompanied by a curated selection of local artisans in the crafts village. With headliners Raine Maida and Chantal Kreviazuk, Matt Andersen and Irish Mythen alongside an incredible list of performers, you can buy your weekend passes and day passes here.

Sweetwater Music Festival
Owen Sound, Ontario
September 15 to September 18

For classical, jazz and contemporary fans, the Sweetwater Music Festival offers four days of amazing musical performances. With five mainstage concerts, three community concerts and lots of fun, free music-based activities throughout the community, you can pick up your tickets online.

Stonebridge Wasaga Beach Blues Festival
Wasaga Beach, Ontario
September 16 to September 18

Celebrating their 10th anniversary in 2022, the Stonebridge Wasaga Beach Blues Festival runs September 16 to 18 in Wasaga Beach. Featuring an incredible blues lineup you can pick up your tickets.
