Each evening is like a perfectly mixed cocktail. Two parts conversation, one-part live music, one-part question and answer and splashed with a dash of the unexpected. Each evening includes a 90-minute interview session and ends with your questions answered from the stage. And, everyone comes away with the true story behind the artist. Hosted by Cameron Smillie, co-founder of Live at the Hippo Pool Events Inc., presenting performing arts events in theatres across southwestern Ontario.
Rik Emmett: Reflections and Reinvention: From Rock Star to Poet
Rik Emmett’s journey in music is explored. Starting as the lead singer/songwriter/ guitarist with Triumph from 1975 to 1988. Five gold & platinum decades in the music biz (across many musical genres) have provided entry into
the Canadian Rock Hall of Fame, the Music Industry Hall of Fame and the Juno Hall of Fame, with a few ‘Best Guitarist’ awards in various categories garnered along the way. And now a published poet, with his “Reinvention” collection on ECW Press! Presented by Meaford Hall.
