Wiarton is home to the famous Wiarton Willie, Canada's most famous weather prognosticating ground-hog. Will Willie see his shadow predicating 6 more weeks of winter, or will he predict an early spring? Each year people from around the world eagerly await Wiarton Willie's prediction, please join us this Feb 1st and 2nd as we celebrate this years prediction. The Wiarton Willie Festival runs Sat Feb 1st, 2020 from 10 a.m to 4 p.m in Bluewater Park and is a free, outdoor, family event with carnival rides and attractions. Prediction Morning is Sun Feb 2nd and kicks off at 7 a.m. with a spectacular Wake up Willie Fireworks display followed by Willie's Official Prediction.
