Felted Hot Tub / Sauna Hat Workshop at Kimber Valley Farms

Come join us on the farm for a workshop with our unique Icelandic sheep! This class is an intro to using a resist in wet felting to form a 3-dimentional object. Using the wool from our flock, you will learn how to layer your fibre evenly to allow uniform shrinkage in your project. Learn when you have reached a “felt stage” and when to shrink. Surface design and structure of finishing your felt will also be taught. Each participant will create a one-of-a-kind artistically felted Hot Tub / Sauna hat to take home. This workshop will take place on the farm in the barn. You'll have some quality time to spend with our Icelandic sheep and our livestock guardian donkey Shasta! Don't forget to bring your camera. Workshop includes all materials, instruction, farm tour and light refreshments.
