There will be a hiatus between classes 4 and 5 for bisque firing. The last class will be a glazing session.

Clay 1 is a prerequisite. The ability to centre a pot and consistently throw a cylinder with intention is MANDATORY. Clay 2 is a continuation of the Clay 1 introductory course where techniques will be expanded on. Please discuss with your Clay 1 Instructor whether it is beneficial to move on to this class. Clay 3 is the final class in our learn to throw series. Students will learn how to add handles, lids, spouts, and feet as well as refining their shapes further. Decorative glazing and surface decoration will be introduced. The instructor will troubleshoot any problems you may have and help to avoid bad habits that will hold back your progress.
