Centennial Museum of Sheguiandah

Often described as a jewel of a museum, the Centennial Museum of Sheguiandah is situated on Hwy. 6 in Sheguiandah. Nestled behind a rail fence just south of Lewis Creek, the eight-acre site features a main exhibition area with both rotating and permanent displays. Learn about the 9000 year old Sheguiandah Dig, explore the 500-million year history of Manitoulin told in the Museum’s fossil display, and enjoy the ever-changing displays in the Museum’s gallery. Find out why we have the remains of a UC-43B Traveler Staggerwing Aircraft in the Bishop Barn, and spend some time in the Museum’s research area featuring local and family histories. Come spend the day, have a picnic lunch in the park and enjoy the tranquility of Sheguiandah Bay!
