Gigi’s Green Beans Café is a culmination of my five passions in life – Canada, the environment, sharing new experiences, a supportive community and food. The name is derived from my childhood nickname which resulted from being born in France while my father was stationed there with the Royal Canadian Air Force. The French struggled with the name Jennifer and as my maiden name was Jones, they shortened it to “JJ” which was Canadianized into Gigi. And the green beans refers to the fact that we only serve organic fair trade coffees and teas.
