Kimber Valley Farms

Our farm is set on the hillside overlooking the beautiful Beaver Valley, ON and is home to our flock of purebred Icelandic Sheep, our donkey Shasta, our herding dog, horses and cats. With plenty of good care and fresh air, our sheep turn organic pasture and hay into beautiful wool! Our sheep all have names and are raised with lots of love. We’re excited to have you meet our flock! Get up close and personal for some animal lovin' and take lots of pics. Did you know that Icelandic sheep are believed to be one of the oldest and purest breeds in the world? Their distinctive horns, long wool and wide variety of colours set them apart from other sheep breeds. And their beautiful fleece is prized by fibre artists, handspinners and knitters. When you join us for a farm experience, you’ll be greeted by our ewe Hullabaloo! She’s friendly and curious and loves to greet all of our visitors in the hopes of getting some chin scratches. Learn about our farming practices, these amazing animals, their beautiful wool and the process of transforming it from Farm to Fashion. Try your hand at skirting and carding their fleece. Meet our adorable donkey Shasta and learn about her important job on the farm. There will be plenty of opportunity for sheep and donkey selfies! Finish off your tour experience by visiting our Farm Shop to see the yarn, knitwear and other handmade finished products made with the fibre from your new wooly friends!
