Eight-Mile Point on Lake Simcoe is not only considered the most sought after of the cottage rentals in Ontario. It's part of the Carthew Nature Reservoirs, provincially-significant wetland, with an active beaver pond that supports great blue herons, green herons, and other wildlife. Other parts have mature hardwood forest, early successional forest, and meadow.
