ome time during March and April the sap begins to flow. This usually occurs on a warm day, +3 c, after a frosty night, below -3 c. The change in the temperature creates sap flow in the tree. We gather sap from our 6000 taps and boil it into Maple Syrup. It takes approximately 40 gallons of Maple Sap to make 1 gallon of Maple Syrup. Come out and see where we make this happen. If you are lucky enough to be here on a day when we are boiling, you will love the rich smell of maple sap steam in the air.
