In its third year, Agora: Path of Light remains a unique, interactive outdoor experience on the mountain top at Blue Mountain Resort. Running nightly until October 31, tickets must be pre-booked online right here and include your ride to the top on the Open-Air Gondola. Choose your departure time and be sure to add an hour or two to explore Agora at your own pace. Come early and enjoy dinner in the Blue Mountain Village before your experience.
That's the thing about Agora - no matter how many photos you've seen, experiencing it in person is a totally different journey. When you walk through the light and sound installations of Agora, you become part of the story. Based on the five elements of air, space, earth, water and fire, you will hear stories along the way and become part of the story yourself by interacting as you go. Speak your name into the microphone at The Dream and watch the lights come alive and hear yourself echo through the forest. Stomp your feet when asked and watch this illuminated landscape react.
The more time you invest in the experience, the more you will be rewarded. Infused with indigenous language and history, be sure to spend some time at the final campfire element recounting what you've learned along the way. The stunning changes to the flames translate your words into the language of light. Developed in partnership with an incredible team from Limbic Media including Edesia Moreno Barata (concept designer and artistic director known for her work with Cirque du Soleil), Poet and Spoken Word artist Maria Metaphor Specht, Ojibwe language professor and writer, Grey Cloud (James Carpenter), Anishinaabek healer and advisor on the project along with the Blue Mountain team.
