Coldwater Mill Heritage Foundation (CMHF)

The historic Coldwater Mill is open from late May until Labour Day 7 days a week, 11-5 and Saturdays until Thanksgiving. The historic display boards and artifacts celebrate the history of the Coldwater Mill and neighbouring Hillsdale Mill. A local Artisan Consignment Boutique is very popular with visitors. Handmade quilts and photos of Coldwater Past adorn the walls of the addition at the back of the mill leading to the second floor, which highlights an Art Gallery, Indigenous educational displays and a community meeting place or classroom. The Mill is located along the Coldwater River with a parkland setting featuring a Musical Barn, a historic Cupola and Doodem Pole. The yard hosts music concerts, community events, children’s programs, picnics, family outings, bikers and cyclists and a Saturday Farmers’ Market. The Mill is accessible with public washrooms. The Coldwater Mill Hosts community Santa photos and an Artisan Christmas Market in November/December. An onsite restaurant, the Riverside Hideaway, serves delicious meals, year-round and has a seasonal patio along the Coldwater River.
