Coldwater Steampunk Festival

The Coldwater Steampunk Festival is an outdoor Steampunk Exhibition that takes place down the Mainstreet of Coldwater, on the grounds of the Coldwater Mill and at the Coldwater Canadiana Museum. The festivities start Thursday night with a Classic Car Show complete with Rat Rods on Mainstreet. Friday morning is a mini-artist flea market on Mainstreet. Friday evening take in MAJINX a ticketed Steampunk Magic Show at the Midland Cultural Centre. Saturday is Main Event Day at the Coldwater Steampunk Festival. This family friendly event is themed each year (2016 Circus Sideshow). Heritage Performances, Live Animal Shows, Musical Acts, Pop-up shows, and Acrobats delight crowds at the Historic Grist Mill and as they stroll the village shops and eateries. Ride the wagon (or bus) free 1 km to the Canadiana Museum. The historic Woodrow Homestead hosts a Mad Hatter's Tea Party, Iron Forging and a full-line-up of Musical & Theatrical Performances. Over 75 Artisans are spread throughout the Village, at the Mill & Museum. A Costume Contest, Fashion Show, Art Competition, Photo Contest and Interactive Arts & Crafts Projects bring out the most amazing talents making this festival a photographers dream. Be sure to mark your calendar August 6th. Costumes encouraged but not required. Admission is Free but purchase of a $2.50 collectible festival button is very much appreciated.
