Tom Thomson Art Gallery

The Tom Thomson Art Gallery was established by the community as a regional public art gallery in 1966, and opened in a purpose-built building in 1967, which doubled in size with renovations in 1988. The Gallery, is the leader in visual arts and culture in the community. The Gallery is a cultural hub of the community, promoting the visual arts and creativity. The Gallery is located in Owen Sound, serving the larger Grey Bruce Simcoe community. The TOM’s Collection includes works of national significance by Thomson and the Group of Seven. Building on this Landscape Tradition, The TOM has developed a strong Collection of on temporary Canadian artists from which to draw exhibitions. The TOM has a diverse exhibition schedule of original contemporary exhibitions showcasing regional, provincial, and national guest artists that focuses on the interests of the community and visitors to the area.
