Taste Local!

Crisp weather equals delicious hot meals.  It’s comfort food season, with locally sourced meals prepared to perfection by many of our chefs.  After a day on the slopes, exploring the trails, shopping or chillin’ out, warm up with a quick snack or multi course meal via take-out or at one of our food establishments.

Several farmers' markets are open year round, too, featuring local fare and ware. The Orillia Farmers' Market can be found downtown at the Orillia Public Library, with the Barrie Historic Farmers' Market located inside Barrie City Hall during the winter months. The Owen Sound Farmers' Market is fortunate to have its own building, located just behind the community's city hall.

Nicholyn Farms, located on Horseshoe Valley Road, not only carries a wide variety of local produce and products, the store is supplied by their own farm with on-site produced sauces, meats, frozen meals, bread and other baked goods and so much more.

And, did you know? Springhills Fish, an eco-friendly fish farm located in Grey County, delivers throughout most of Ontario. Like to learn more about the fish you're buying? Take a tour of the fish farm to see how it's done - the self-guided tour takes approximately 15 to 30 minutes and is free.

Scrumptious, local food can be found all across BruceGreySimcoe, ready to be savoured and packed up to take home, too!
